Madhavi is a multifaceted legal professional, sharpened by corporate counsel roles, scholarly pursuits, and passionate advocacy for mental health and financial‑legal literacy. Her career blends practice, research, writing, and personal wellbeing leadership.
She is a corporate lawyer who works as an in-house legal counsel at LenDenClub, a peer to peer lending company, registered with the Reserve Bank of India.
Prior to this stint, Madhavi worked in Jio BlackRock Investment Advisers Private Limited, where she was amongst the first 50 employees, involved in setting up of the business.
Madhavi worked in the Group Legal team of Centrum India (for 2 years and 4 months), an integrated financial services group. She handles work pertaining to Investment Banking, Debt Syndication, Institutional Equities, Wealth Management, Alternate Investment Funds, Broking, Insurance Distribution, and some of the banking business of Unity Small Finance Bank.
Prior to joining Centrum India, Madhavi has worked for ~5 years in the legal and secretarial team in Tata Industries Limited, which is the incubation wing of the House of Tata. Madhavi has also interned at Trigyn Technologies Limited, a multi-national corporation, listed on both BSE & NSE., wherein she stepped into the world of secretarial and compliance domain.
Madhavi is a certified Mediator and has undergone intensive training as per the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India norms and guidelines.
Madhavi is a doctoral candidate at the Golden Gate University, San Francisco, California, wherein her research is based on the multidisciplinary fields of Finance and Law.
Madhavi holds an LL.M. in Corporate and Financial Laws from Jindal Global Law School. She is also an Associate Company Secretary. She holds Bachelor of Legal Sciences and Bachelor of Law from University of Mumbai, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Corporate Laws from Symbiosis and Diploma in Cyber Laws from GLC.
Madhavi is passionate about, and advocates mental health issues and spreads awareness on the subject. She has done several certifications in psychology.
Madhavi, in her college days, was an enthusiastic mooter, who has won "Best Speaker" several times. She has continued her passion for oratory skills and has hosted professional events and speaks at various fora on legal matters.
